Accompanied by her mother and a lawyer, actress Preechaya Pongthananikorn appeared before the police on Sunday, revealing that she had purchased cyanide online to eliminate reptiles that had attacked her pet dogs in her mother’s backyard.
The cyanide she acquired was from the same batch allegedly used by the serial murder suspect Sararat Rangsiwuthaporn. Preechaya’s lawyer, Monchai Jongkrairattnakul, informed the media that his client had no intention of harming anyone and had only purchased the chemical to eradicate snakes and monitor lizards.
He further stated that he was unaware if the police would charge her for illegal possession of cyanide, but any of the lethal substance in her possession had already been surrendered to the Bang Khen police.
